In other words, one of the female K-Pop idols that fans wish was their best friend or girlfriend. She was previously a member of the legendary K-Pop girl group 2NE1 and has made a splash in the global industry this year. She has cemented herself as a style icon… a proudly Asian (Korean) artist…

Her career has not always been easy but she has handled the difficulties with poise. She has said in an interview recently that she is enjoying her freedom as an artist now and enjoying doing what she chooses to do. She also left how people perceive her up to their perception. Whether they think she is a fashion icon, a K-Pop artist, or a pop artist, these are all facts so she is leaving it up to people to decide what she is. She experimented a lot with her sound this year and has been showing newly unlocked levels of experimentation and artistry. CL talks about that more in this interview.
